2014 donations:

On September 8 and September 17, 2014, the board of the Trolltech Foundation decided to make the following grants to:

*Metamorfose:   

NOK 250 000 was granted  the Kisoro Boarding School Project  in Uganda -the implementation of high-efficiency cook stoves 

Metamorfose is a Norwegian registered social benefit company based in Oslo. Metamorfose’s mandate is to be a non-profit company with the aim to promote the opportunity for people to live a dignified life.

Metamorfose’s mission: To initiate and support projects and entrepreneurship with the aim of increasing people’s opportunities to realize their own goals and vision, regardless of religion, political belief and ethnic affiliation.

*4Africa:

NOK 300 000 was granted to 4Africa for purchasing a generator, sewing machines and for training women in Uganda.

NOK    50 000 for purchasing solar panels and a battery for electricity supply for their project for women in Uganda
NOK 250 000 for purchasing a mini bus for their project for women in Uganda
NOK 100 000 for education for employees at their project for women in Uganda

4Africa is a Norwegian organization that aims to improve the life conditions for disadvantaged (poor and HIV/AIDS positive) Ugandan women. The women will develop skills to create beautiful handcrafted jewellery and clothes. Products which will allow them a sustainable income. 

4 Africa’s mission:
To establish long-term profitable value chains, based on production in Uganda, in partnership with local community based groups and organizations.

*I see Maasai Development Initiativ (now Nashulai Maasai Conservancy):

NOK 350 000 was granted for  building an educational centre in Sekenani, Kenya to equip the local Maasai youth with beneficial knowledge and skills which lead to employment opportunities.

Our goal is to build a training centre where the community, especially the jobless youth, can join to learn skills in tourism, eco-tourism, hospitality, and conservation. This will make the students attractive on the job market in the tourist industry, or skills and inspiration they need to start their own income generating projects.
